MY BACKGROUND
As a resident of College Park, Georgia, I have been involved in the community for many years. I am a graduate of the local high school and have always been passionate about making a positive impact in my hometown. I am running for mayor because I believe in the potential of College Park and I want to serve my community.
MY CAREER
Throughout my career, I have worked in various leadership roles where I have gained valuable experience in managing teams, developing policies, and implementing strategies to achieve goals. As the next mayor of College Park, I will bring this experience to the table and work tirelessly to improve the city for its residents and businesses.This is a great space to write a long text about your campaign and your services. My mission as the next mayor of College Park is to create a city that is safe, prosperous, and welcoming to all. I believe in equality and opportunity for everyone, and I will work to ensure that our city reflects these values. I am committed to listening to the concerns of our residents and addressing their needs in a transparent and effective manner.
ABOUT JAMES
James H. Walker, III: A Commitment to Community
James H. Walker, III is a Georgia native and College Park resident. He is a product of the Fulton County School System, having graduated from Paul D. West Middle School and Woodland High School. His elementary education commenced at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic School. Guided by the emphasis his parents placed on a solid education, James successfully completed his studies at Morehouse College and Georgia State University School of Law.
James has held roles as a closing agent for the HUD Secretary and as a managing attorney for several prominent real estate firms. He also served as a Fulton County Magistrate Court Judge, amassing 30 years of experience in both commercial and residential real estate law.
At his midtown firm, James Walker & Associates / DBA Elite Law, the primary focus is on commercial and residential real estate law. Elite Law additionally handles criminal and civil cases, estate planning, and HOA law. Personally, James represents many high-level figures in the entertainment and sports industry. He also owns and oversees a boutique homeowner’s association and property management company that has managed several HOAs, encompassing thousands of homeowners.
As a native, James is dedicated to the mission of revitalizing the city of College Park. He has observed the city's evolution and holds a vision for positive change. During his teen years, James worked at Greenbriar Mall, serving customers at Baskin-Robbins, The Record Bar, and other longstanding staples of the historic mall. He has been an integral part of this community for a lifetime. James believes in College Park as a safe haven, a place that celebrates community, shared values, and a sense of belonging. He is determined to see the city's progressive character restored.
James is a man of faith, having attended World Changers in his earlier years and later serving and worshiping under Charles Stanley at First Baptist Church. Currently, he attends Buckhead Church where Andy Stanley serves as pastor. Alongside his wife Angie, a native of Atlanta and a corporate administrator and realtor, they share four accomplished adult children, two of whom attended Woodward Academy. They also share their vibrant and loving dog, Chewy. James is an avid supporter of his Atlanta Falcons, Braves, and Hawks, never missing a game, whether in the stands or passionately cheering for the teams on television. In addition to his love for golf and running, both recreationally and in preparation for marathons, James has a passion for lawn and garden care. When he is not meticulously tending to his yard, he is reaping the rewards of his garden for fresh produce, which he uses for his other love, cooking. James takes joy in creating delightful meals for his entire family and often delivers meals to his parents, who live nearby in East Point.
James is surrounded by his family, including his two sisters, and a multitude of neighbors and friends who are like family, always ready to serve. He considers himself a servant, not only in word but in action and in deed. He stands prepared to serve the city of College Park and lead it back to its esteemed status.
